Who are Prama Charity?
For many older adults across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, and East Dorset, Prama’s clubs and services aren’t just helpful; they are a vital part of daily life. From tackling loneliness to helping people stay independent and connected, Prama brings joy to people. But like many charities, they face ongoing challenges in raising vital funds needed to keep these clubs going. That’s why, at World of Books, we’re proud to support their mission.

The Roll-out
When Aaron Head, Prama’s Head of Retail, first heard about Sell Your Books Pro at a Head of Retail event, he saw huge potential in streamlining book donations and generating additional revenue for his charity instead of them sitting on the shelves for months.
Aaron trialed Sell Your Books Pro in one shop to start with and then rolled out our platform to the remaining 11 shops after seeing the smooth process and the value they can get from each book.
By joining World of Books - Sell Your Books Pro in March 2025, Prama took the next step in turning unused books into additional revenue to support the older people across Dorset.
Looking Ahead
Prama is exploring ways to scale their use of the platform, including pallet collections for larger stores and increasing trade volumes.
Results and Impact
In just over two months (mid-March to end of May 2025), Prama achieved:
