Brandon Trust is a charity supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to live life to the full. Founded in 1994 through the merger of two charities, one focused on housing and the other on learning disabilities. Brandon Trust now operates across Bristol, Oxfordshire, Cornwall, the West Midlands, and Greater London.

How Brandon Trust Uses Sell Your Books Pro
Brandon Trust began using Sell Your Books Pro to manage excess book donations and generate additional revenue.
The platform allows staff to scan donated books and media, assess their resale value, and send them to World of Books. This has been especially helpful for smaller shops like Cotham Hill, which receive high volumes of donations but have limited space.
“I had the chance to meet Chloe (Area Manager), Lotte (Shop Manager), and Will (Shop Assistant), and to see Sell Your Books Pro in action. The shop looked fantastic and the rollout has been a real success.
One thing that really stood out to me: Brandon Trust’s Enterprise programme. It offers the people they support the chance to develop skills and create products (like pottery or farm goods) that are sold in store. Even better, when you buy one of these items, the proceeds go directly to the person who made it! I left with some beautiful handmade Christmas decorations, and knowing the money supports the individual directly made it even more special.”

Financial Impact
Since joining World of Books, Brandon Trust has earned between £200 and £600 per month across its five shops, totalling around £3,000 in under a year. The income helps fund the charity’s broader mission and directly supports employment for people with autism and learning disabilities in each shop.
“I first met the amazing team at Brandon Trust at the Charity Retail Association conference in 2024, where they took part in our Scan Around The World challenge. Getting Started
